Following the success of their previous album "HIDEAWAY", "PINK NOISE" was released the following year in 1986 and is now available in a paper jacket. The complete album includes two songs that were not included on the album. This is the last solo album by "Stephanie", a female rocker who later became a vocalist of SHOW-YA. The sharp hard rock sound of top-notch players such as Kazuo Shiina (g), Takayuki Hijikata (g), Kenji Kitajima (g), and Jun Aoyama (dr) is maintained, while Stephanie's vocals are much more expressive than on the previous album. The album includes "MILES AWAY" and "HE WON'T ROCK" by Lea Hart ( FASTWAY ), who was also in Ann Lewis' backing band, cover songs of Alice Cooper's "SCHOOL'S OUT" and HEDPINS' "TURN IT LOUD", and a catchy number by Tsugitoshi Goto. The catchy number "BURNIN' UP THE NIGHT" is a tie-up song for the TV drama "Half Moon. Jeff Northrup, a friend of the band from their L.A. days, who played super-fast metal guitar on the previous album, also contributed a song to the album. After the release of "Half Moon," the band toured live for five years before joining SHOW-YA in 1991.
