B級映画ファン必携のカルトバカ映画が日本語吹替版初収録&初DVD化!! 80年代に多く作られたカレッジコメディの一つで、ラフティングレース(ラフトと呼ばれるゴムボートによる川下りレース)に挑んだ大学生チームを描いたアクションコメディ。――全米でもワースト1位というFランク校「レペットメイン大学」に通う問題学生・ボブ、マックス、アーウィン、ガンザーの4人組は学部長から「何の表彰も受けたことのない我が校の汚名返上の為に『全米大学対抗川下り選手権』に参加し、優勝せよ」との命令が下される。優勝すれば特別に学位を与え学校も卒業、出来なければこれまでの4人組の悪事をバラして警察に突き出すという。かくして4人組はメンバーの飼い犬・チャックを加えてレースに参加するが、優勝候補の名門校・アイビー大学チームなどの強豪に加え、レース前に失格となった陸軍士官学校チームの妨害もあってレースは大混戦となる。果たしてマックスたちは優勝できるのか・・・。
