カラー特撮テレビ映画の黎明期を代表する作品が、放送から50年を目前にHDネガテレシネと高度な画質補正技術により作成したHDマスターから初ブルーレイ化! 第2巻。宣弘社初の全話カラーで制作した連続テレビ映画。故郷の星を逃れた超能力生物・エスパー星人の二人は、気球の事故で命を落とした東ヒカルの両親に姿を借りて地球に亡命した。そのことをヒカルは知らない。エスパー星人の二人は、秘かに超能力を使って、ヒカルの叔父であり光波エネルギー研究所の所長である朝川博士の研究に力を貸して七つの能力を持つ強化服を完成した。そして、それをヒカルに着せて光速エスパーと名付けた。光速エスパーとなったヒカルは、小鳥型ロボット「チカ」を介して、エスパー星人の母と共に、ギロン星人の地球侵略作戦や数々の難事件に挑んでいく。第14話～第26話収録。解説書封入。
