北野武監督最新作『アウトレイジ 最終章』公開記念! 北野武監督の過去作が待望のBlu-ray化! 今振り返るべき名作が高画質でよみがえる! 菊次郎52才 正男9才 北野監督が初めて挑む笑いと感動のロードムービー!! ――夏休みが始まった。しかし正男(関口雄介)には両親がなく、一緒に住むおばあちゃん(吉行和子)もパートで忙しい為、遊んでくれる人が全くいない。そこでどこか遠くで働く母親の元へ、写真だけを頼りに、絵日記と僅かな小遣いを握りしめて飛び出した。心配した近所のおばさん(岸本加世子)は、仕事もなく暇を持て余す旦那・菊次郎(ビートたけし)に母親の元まで送り届けるよう命令するが・・・。勝手気ままで大人に成りきれていない菊次郎は9才の少年正男の母親探しの旅に付き合うはめになる。様々な人と事件に出会いながら現実の厳しさと人々の優しさにふれていく二人の『少年』の数日間の旅。時に突拍子もない行動に走る菊次郎の後をひたすらついて行くだけだった正男は、やがて横を、ついにはしっかり手をつないで歩き始める。
