Description

Plot: In her late twenties, Mariko is dumped by her boyfriend, whom she is planning to marry, and she finds herself at a crossroads for the first time in her life. As a result of her exhaustive search for a marriage partner, she meets Koichiro, a handsome lawyer from a good family. Her marriage to Koichiro is finalized and it seems like smooth sailing... On the other hand, Miki, who studied hard and was admitted to a prestigious university in Tokyo, moves from Toyama to Tokyo. She works in the nightlife industry to earn money for the school, but she cannot afford the tuition and eventually quit the university. As a college classmate of Koichiro, Miki meets Hanako, who lives in a different world...

同じ空の下、私たちは違う階層〈セカイ〉を生きている――。門脇麦×水原希子×監督: 岨手由貴子×原作: 山内マリコ今、最も旬なキャスト、監督、原作のアンサンブルが都会を舞台に織り成すシスターフッドムービーの新境地。――東京に生まれ、箱入り娘として何不自由なく成長し、「結婚=幸せ」と信じて疑わない華子。20代後半になり、結婚を考えていた恋人に振られ、初めて人生の岐路に立たされる。あらゆる手立てを使い、お相手探しに奔走した結果、ハンサムで良家の生まれである弁護士・幸一郎と出会う。幸一郎との結婚が決まり、順風満帆に思えたのだが・・・。一方、東京で働く美紀は富山生まれ。猛勉強の末に名門大学に入学し上京したが、学費が続かず、夜の世界で働くも中退。仕事にやりがいを感じているわけでもなく、都会にしがみつく意味を見いだせずにいた。幸一郎との大学の同期生であったことで、同じ東京で暮らしながら、別世界に生きる華子と出会うことになる。
