相川七瀬、通算14枚目のアルバムとなる今作。2013年に出された『今事記』の続編である、本作『中今』は 相川自身の静かな魂(rock)を今伝えたい言葉で紡いだ渾身の作品。タイトルである『中今』は、過去でも未来でもなく、現在(いま)を生きるという言葉からつけられた。詩の世界は やまとことばの響きを大切に描かれている。世界最古のオーケストラと呼ばれる雅楽のアレンジに取り入れた。リード曲「むすんでひらいて」を含む渾身の7曲収録。
