長年、日本の音楽界を支え、国際的に活躍するヴァイオリニスト・マレー飛鳥と、ライヴ活動ほか、映画やドラマの演奏など多分野で活躍するバンドネオンの名手・北村聡による、珠玉のデュオ作品。二人のオリジナルを3曲、また、4曲は二人のために委嘱された新作で、ディエゴ・スキッシ、ヘラルド・ディ・ヒウスト、中島ノブユキ、挾間美帆ら豪華作曲陣が楽曲を提供した。「ジャズ、タンゴ、オルタナティヴ、それらの間を繋ぎ、今の時代の音を紡ぎたい」とマレー飛鳥が語る通り、ジャンルを越境する音楽。また、作品を通して表現されるのは"今"という時を生きる思いと祈り。チェルノブイリや福島、9.11などの出来事に思いを寄せたオープニングをはじめ、平和への祈り、生命の息吹、祝祭・・・演奏には、深い感情表現が響く。ラストは3.11への鎮魂。この哀しいまでの美しさは切なくも優しい。音楽的な呼吸と共に奏でられた演奏は、多くの人々の心を震わせることだろう。
