Noten Paradise

A comedy by internationally acclaimed director Masashi Yamamoto, whose films have been selected for numerous film festivals including the Berlin, Cannes, and Locarno Film Festivals, and were screened as a special feature at the Lausanne Film Festival last year. Plot: A large mansion in the suburbs of Tokyo. Shuji looks around the room where all he has to do is to load up his belongings. He is the person responsible for giving up the house. His son, Yuta, is a recluse. Akane, the daughter, is irritated by her father's inadequacies and tweets in a burnt-out mood, "Let's have a party today." She falls asleep in her bed after tweeting. But her post is retweeted one after another... Akiko, Shuji's ex-wife, is the first to visit. After that, rare visitors come one after another, and an incomprehensible world unfolds....
