The film is set in Perth, Australia, which was arrived at after extensive location scouting in Central and Southeast Asia, Africa, and Hawaii. The detailed images of the island, surrounded by ocean, desert, jungle, and rivers, are unique even in this story of impending do-or-die situations. The film's cast, which includes Park Hae-il of "The Pursuit of Murder" (2003), Park Hye-soon of "Operation The Scam" (2009), and Lee Min-ki of "Romantic Island" (2009), embody the tragedy and madness of people facing death under such harsh conditions.
