大友良英スペシャルビッグバンドの2024年ヨーロッパツアーを機に、ビッグバンドのメンバー3人による小編成でのサイドプロジェクトとして、近藤達郎を中心に結成されたユニットのファーストアルバムである。近藤の作曲による5曲、3人の即興演奏のほか、題名がアルバムタイトルにも引用された、チャーリー・ヘイデンの「Silence」が収録されている。2024年の今、この曲が深く心に響くのは、世界情勢と無関係ではないだろう。オリジナル曲も含め、静謐と喧騒、内省と熱情が交錯するアルバム。アルバムのジャケット写真は、東日本大震災・原発事故から2年後の2013年に、福島県南相馬市の海岸で撮影された。
