Hitoku Sei Shinsho

The greatest progressive rock band in Japan, KENSO, has finally released on DVD a rare independent history video work that records their precious live performances and recordings from 1983 to 1999! KENSO, led by guitarist Yoshio Shimizu, debuted in Japan in the dark period of the 80's when progressive rock was in the doldrums worldwide and still shines brightly today. This is a history video work that was produced by the band and sold in very small quantities in 2000, and consists of rare studio footage from the recording of the "Yume no Oka" and "Esoptron" albums, private footage of a lecture given by Shimizu Sensei, and heated live performance footage at various venues from 1983 to 2000. The artwork is a novel design with highly confidential illustrations by Shimizu's childhood, and in addition to the original self-liner notes enclosed in the original VHS, new self-liner notes have been added for the DVD release. Includes liner notes by Yoshio Shimizu for the year 2000 + 2025.
