Kazutaka Kodaka, who worked on the "Danganronpa" series, and Kotaro Uchikoshi, known for works such as the "Zero Escape" series, teamed up for the first time on "The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-", an ADV + SRPG of "extremes" and "despair" released in April 2025 for PC (Steam(R)) and Nintendo Switch(TM). Its distinctive world view that only Kazutaka Kodaka and Kotaro Uchikoshi could create, its vivid character portrayals, and its astonishing 100 kinds of endings became a major talking point, and in addition to high user review scores on Steam(R) it has won high acclaim both in Japan and abroad, including a nomination in the Best Storytelling category at the "Golden Joystick Awards 2025" and an Award for Excellence in the Games of the Year Division at the "Japan Game Awards 2025". The extreme selection stage play "The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-", based on this work, brings to the stage the story of "The First 100 Days" and the story made up of nine branches leading to "Truth Revealed", "Restart" and "Farewell, Aotsuki". Using expression unique to the stage, it develops 10 different stories in all as an unprecedented attempt. What is depicted is a 100-day war of "extremes" and "despair" with multiple endings, fought by the 15 characters of the "Special Defense Unit", each with a striking personality. Please see its conclusion for yourself. -- Takumi Sumino, the main character, was living an ordinary daily life in the "Tokyo Residential Complex". His peaceful days with his family and his childhood friend are fragilely shattered by an attacker of unknown identity who suddenly appears. Awakened to the extraordinary power of "hemoanima" by a mysterious creature calling itself "Sirei", Takumi barely escapes his predicament with the newly unlocked weapon, the "Infuser", but afterward he is forced to "transfer" to the "Last Defense Academy", which is enveloped in "Undying Flames". Gathered at the academy are 15 students. The purpose conveyed to them by "Sirei" is to protect this academy from the approaching enemy, the "School Invaders", for 100 days and to save humanity.
