The animation production is by "CloverWorks," known for works such as "Bocchi the Rock!" The director is Yuta Yamazaki, who served as assistant director on "Wonder Egg Priority." The series composition is by Yoriko Tomita of "My Dress-Up Darling." The character design is by Yasushi Nishiya, who served as chief animation director on "Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle" -- a gathering of geniuses who weave a fragment of history with beautiful, powerful visuals! In the year 1333, the Kamakura shogunate, which laid the foundation for warrior rule of Japan, is destroyed by the rebellion of its trusted retainer Ashikaga Takauji. Having lost everything and been cast into the depths of despair, the legitimate successor of the shogunate, Hojo Tokiyuki, escapes the burning Kamakura with the guidance of Suwa Yorishige, a priest who calls himself a god... Fleeing to the land of Suwa, Tokiyuki meets trustworthy companions and builds up the strength to retake Kamakura. Against the way of the warrior who "fights" and "dies," he overcomes the great tides of a changing era by "fleeing" and "living."
