TVアニメ「鉄腕バーディー DECODE」2ndシーズンのDVD、第6巻! 原作でも人気の高いエピソード「過去編」をアニメオリジナルの視点で展開。幼いバーディと彼女の母親代わりでもあったマリオネット「ヴァイオリン」を巻き込む悲劇とは? ――「リュンカ事件」から一ヶ月。相変わらずの「二心同体」生活を送っている宇宙連邦捜査官のバーディーと、高校生・干川つとむ。ある日バーディに、地球に逃亡したと思われる脱走犯を逮捕するという任務が下る。彼らは先の「リュンカ事件」の首謀者だった。そしてバーディーは幼い日々をともに過ごし、まるで兄弟のように仲の良かったナタルと再会する。だが、この再会が新たなる事件を呼び、バーディーの忌まわしい過去の記憶の扉を開くことに・・・。 第11話「Both Sides Now」、第12話「Before Long」収録。
