劇場アニメ『君の膵臓をたべたい』DVDリリース!! ――彼女は言った。「君の膵臓をたべたい」春。まだ遅咲きの桜が咲いている、4月のこと。他人に興味をもたず、いつもひとりで本を読んでいる高校生の「僕」は、病院の待合室で、一冊の文庫本を拾う。手書きの文字で『共病文庫』と題されたその本は、天真爛漫なクラスの人気者・山内桜良が密かに綴っていた日記帳だった。日記の中身を目にした「僕」に、桜良は自分が膵臓の病気で余命いくばくもないことを告げる。それは、家族と医師以外には病気を隠している彼女にとってただひとり、秘密を共有する相手ができた瞬間だった。最期の日が訪れるまで、なるべくこれまでどおりの日常生活を送りながら、やりたいことをやり、精一杯人生を楽しもうとする桜良。そんな彼女の奔放な行動に振り回され、「僕」の心は少しずつ変化していく。――それは、「僕」の春の思い出。彼女の一生の思い出。
