[Machine Translation] Akitaka Ueda, a solitary singer-songwriter pursuing "NEW POPS", has finally completed his 2ndALBUM. Two years have passed since his last album, and he has arrived at a "pure" and "manly" new world where he stoically delves into his own essence = "poetry and melody". In addition to the splendid guest musicians such as Daisuke Tsugimatsu (Key/The Miceteeth), Ryoji Orihara (Ba/Kemono), and Masaki Matsuura (Arr/ANATAKIKOU), Gen Tanabe (WATER WATER CAMEL) participated as a sound engineer. The sound recorded quietly in a private studio gives off a taut atmosphere, a dense groove, and even the breath of the band members. What emerges from the monotone and rough sound production is a surprisingly lustrous and lush sound world. This is a collection of old and new pop songs that re-purify their own unique pop music by facing their own roots again, in anticipation of the colorful worldview embodied in their next album (=3rdALBUM), which is being produced at the same time.

"NEW POPS"を追い求める孤高のシンガー・ソング・ライター植田章敬の2ndALBUMがついに完成。前作より2年を経てたどり着いたのは自身の本質="詩とメロディー"をストイックに掘り下げた"純粋"で"男臭い"新境地。次松大助 (Key/The Miceteeth)、織原良次 (Ba/けもの)、松浦正樹 (Arr/ANATAKIKOU)ら豪華ゲストミュージシャンに加えてサウンドエンジニアとして田辺玄 (WATER WATER CAMEL)が参加。プライベート・スタジオでひっそりと録音された音源からは張りつめた空気感、密度の濃いグルーヴ、メンバーの息づかいまでもが匂いたつ。モノトーンでザラついた音作りから浮かび上がるのは驚くほどに艶やかで瑞々しい音世界。同時制作されている次回作 (=3rdALBUM)で体現される色鮮やかな世界観を前に、自身のルーツと再び向かい合い独自のPOPを再精製した古くて新しいポップソング集。
