Description

第二次世界大戦を舞台に、アメリカで最も勇敢な部隊・第442連隊戦闘団の誇りと戦いを描く戦争ドラマ。1944年フランス。ドイツ軍との激戦を終え、休息を取っていた日系二世部隊第442連隊戦闘団のジミー軍曹の元に、友軍の"テキサス部隊"がドイツ軍に包囲されたとの情報が入る。彼らの救出は絶望的とされ「失われた大隊」とすら呼ばれ始めていた。そんな中、時の大統領ルーズベルト自身から第442部隊に救出命令が下る。ドイツ軍の戦力は倍以上。ジミ―軍曹は医師の命令により作戦への参加を禁止されるが、同じく負傷し自軍に残る部下フレディに伝言を託し戦場へと赴く。しかし、負傷して戻る仲間の姿を見過ごせず、フレディもまた仲間と共にジミーの後を追う・・・。
