The follow-up to Stumpwork began in a rehearsal space in Peckham, where all four members wrote, performed, and responded to each other in the same room--an organic whole for Dry Cleaning in which music and lyrics are inseparable. This work evolved from an intense session at Jeff Tweedy's studio The Loft in Chicago and an explosive session at Sonic Studios in Dublin with Alan Duggan and Daniel Fox of the Gira Band, taking full advantage of the acoustical characteristics of each space.
