Japanese/ English bilingual books are good for practicing English by Japanese people. Still, people keen on learning Japanese and in love with Japanese manga can also use them efficiently. In these manga, English translations are in the speech bubbles, and the original Japanese dialogues are next to the English translation, outside of the scene box. Even if you can't learn word by word, it allows understanding the general meaning behind the sentences.

1- Doraemon [ドラえもん]:

Doraemon is a comedy, science fiction manga series written and illustrated by Fujiko F. Fujio. It is a manga that is popular around the world with its anime. This manga is about the adventures of a robot cat, who came from the future, and the boy, who lives with it.

2- Attack on Titan[進撃の巨人 ]:

This post-apocalyptic manga is written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The story takes place in a city with big walls that protects people from Titans lives outside.

3- Your Name [君の名は]:

This story was originally an anime movie written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. Ranmaru Kotone illustrated the manga adaptation. The story is about two high school students who meet in their dreams with each other. They live in different times in Japan. They are determined to change their destiny.

4- Sailor Moon[美少女戦士セーラームーン]

Naoko Takeuchi created the Sailor Moon manga. It is about a girl who fights for justice. Bilingual manga contains a story with Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, and Sailor Moon and her friends trying to find Phantom Silver Crystal.

5- Ajin [亜人]:

It is a supernatural thriller manga series written and illustrated by Gamon Sakurai. The story is about a high school student named Nagai Kei, who has strange and incredible powers.

6- Jungle Emperor Leo [ジャングル大帝 レオ]:

It is written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka. It also has anime series. The story is about a young white lion. A hunter kills Leo's father before Leo is born. His mother is sent to a zoo in England, but she helps her son to run away. Humans help him before he reaches Africa. But Leo has a hard time adjusting to the law of the jungle.

7- Mighty Atom (Astro Boy) [鉄腕アトム ]:

Mighty Atom (a.k.a. Astro Boy) is a science-fiction manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka. It is about an android young boy with human emotions.

8- Nodame Cantabile [のだめカンタービレ ]:

It's a romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Tomoko Ninomiya. It is about two classical musicians: "Nodame" Noda and Shinichi Chiaki.

9- Bucho Shima Kosaku [部長 島耕作]:

This slice-of-life manga is about a salaryman who works for an electronic company and gets promoted over the years. It was written and illustrated by Kenshi Hirokane.

10 - Chihayafuru [ちはやふる]:

It is written and illustrated by Yuki Suetsugu. The story is about a competitive girl named Chihaya who loves playing karuta, a Japanese card game. The poems in the bilingual manga are in Romaji.

11- Cells at Work [はたらく細胞]:

This manga series was written and illustrated by Akane Shimizu. It also has an anime adaptation. It is about cells in our body. Every chapter in the manga is about different topics; catching the flu, having an allergy, infections, etc.

12- Sangokushi [三国志]:

It was written and illustrated by Mitsuteru Yokoyama. It is based on the 14th-century Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

13- Ghost in the Shell [攻殻機動隊 ]:

This cyberpunk manga is written and illustrated by Masamune Shirow. It is about a government special forces cyborg unit. This bilingual manga could not be suitable for children.

14- Isabella Bird in Wonderland [ふしぎの国のバード UNBEATEN TRACKS in JAPAN]

It is a manga series by Taiga Sassa. The manga is about a British woman discovering Japan from Tokyo to Hokkaido in the early Meiji period. Bilingual manga includes an interview with the author.

15- Kindaichi Shonen No Jikenbo [金田一少年の事件簿]

Kindaichi is a mystery manga series written by Yōzaburō Kanari and Seimaru Amagi. Fumiya Satō illustrated. It is about the crime-solving adventures of a high school amateur detective, Hajime Kindaichi, who is the grandson of a famous private detective.
