お笑いコンビ「シソンヌ」のじろうが長年コントで演じてきたキャラクター、中年OLの川嶋佳子を主人公に、平凡な40代女性の日常や悲哀を日記風につづった、じろうによる小説を映画化。じろう自身が脚本を執筆し、『美人が婚活してみたら』でもじろう脚本作品を手がけた大九明子監督が今作でもメガホンをとった。松雪泰子が主人公の佳子に扮し、若林ちゃんを黒木華、佳子が好意を寄せる岡本くんを清水尋也が演じる。 ――とある会社で派遣社員として働く40代独身の川嶋佳子は、毎日日記をつけている。そこには、撤去された自転車との再会したことなど、日々の小さな喜びがつづられていた。そんな佳子にとって、会社の同僚である年下の若林ちゃんと過ごす時間が何よりの幸せだったが、ある時、ふた周り年下の岡本くんとの恋が訪れ・・・。
