Katamichi no Hane

[Machine Translation] COCKER SPANIEL ( Cocker Spaniel ), currently active in Sendai, will release a mini-album! This album was recorded in Tokyo for the first time, and the band has stepped out into a new environment. The album contains 6 songs, starting with up-tempo songs with exhilarating energy, followed by their signature heavy sound, and melodious slow numbers that highlight the voice of the vocalist, Oyama. All the sounds overlap to depict their theme of "hope behind despair". Formed in 2001. Formed in 2001, the band went through member changes and became the current members in 2005. In 2002, they released their first mini-album "RESET" on January 10, 2002, and it ranked No.1 on the indies chart at the TOWER RECORDS Sendai store. On May 15, 2003, they held their tour final and their first self-organized event in Sendai. 350 people attended. 3-track demo single "Jiyu no hate ni" was released on May 12, 2003, and a 3-track demo single "Jiyu no hate ni" was released on September 1, 2003. In 2004, they released their second mini album "CORE" on July 5, and in 2005 and 2006, they sold one single a year at limited venues. Since the latter half of 2007, they have been performing consistently in Tokyo, holding events with different titles, such as "Kotonoha" in Sendai and "Rabbit and Turtle" in Tokyo, on a regular basis, which have been well received.

仙台で活動中のCOCKER SPANIEL(コッカースパニエル)が、満を持してミニアルバムリリース決定!初めて東京でレコーディングをするなど、新たな環境へと踏み出した今作。爽快で勢いのあるアップテンポな曲から始まり、彼等の得意とする重いサウンドや、Vo.大山の歌声が引き立つメロディアスなスローナンバーなどの6曲を収録。Vo.大山の激しくも切ない歌声と、感情溢れるギター・ベース・ドラム。全ての音が重なり、彼等のテーマである「絶望の奥にある希望」を描く。この美しくも激しい刹那の世界を感じて欲しい。2001年結成。メンバーチェンジを経て、2005年に現メンバーとなる。仙台・東京を拠点に幅広い活動を展開し、音速ライン、椿屋四重奏、APOGEEらとの共演を果たす。02年、1月10日に1st mini album『RESET』を発売。TOWER RECORDS仙台店にてインディーズチャート1位を獲得。そして、同年3月よりミニアルバムを引きさげての関東・東北全11ヶ所のツアーを行い、同年5月15日にはツアーファイナル兼初の自主企画イベントとなるレコ発イベントを仙台にて開催。350名を動員する。03年5月12日3曲入りDEMO SINGLE「自由の果てに」、9月1日3曲入りDEMO SINGLE「強ク咲ク花」をリリース。04年、7月5日に2nd mini album『CORE』を発売し、05年・06年と1年に1枚、シングルを会場限定で販売する。06年11月には仙台Ma.Ca.Na.にて初のワンマンライブを成功におさめ、07年後半からは東京でも毎月1本とコンスタントにライブ活動を続け、仙台では「ことのは」、都内では「兎と亀」と、別タイトルのイベントを定期的に開催し、好評を博している。
