This film features the strongest musical team in the history of Shinkai's works, consisting of Makoto Shinkai, RADWIMPS, and Kazuma JInnouchi. In addition to the two theme songs "Kanata Haruka" and "Suzume feat. Toaka" and 25 songs from the film, this item also includes new songs "Tamaki" and "Suzume no Namida" sung by Yojiro Noda, which were created during the film production process and not used in the film.

2022年11月11日(金)全国公開される新海誠監督の最新作『すずめの戸締まり』のサウンドトラック。今作は新海誠×RADWIMPS×陣内一真という"新海作品史上最強"の音楽体制が実現。新海監督が製作発表会見でこれまでと違う新しい劇場体験を創り出すことへの並々ならぬ決意を語っていたこともあり、新たなる挑戦として、世界で活躍する映画音楽作曲家の陣内一真氏にRADWIMPSとの共作をオファーした。レコーディングの一部は新海作品初となる海外 (歴史的なロンドンのアビー・ロード・スタジオ)でも実施されている。主題歌2曲「カナタハルカ」「すずめ feat.十明」と劇伴25曲に加え、映画制作の過程で生まれた野田洋次郎が歌う本編未収録の新曲「Tamaki」「すずめの涙」も収録、映画の世界をより深く味わうことができる1枚に仕上がっている。「映画音楽、そしてゲーム音楽など多岐に渡って長年創作をされてきた陣内さんとの共同作業は一言では言えないくらいの経験値と、新たな視野を与えてくれました」と野田洋次郎 (RADWIMPS)もコメントしている通り、陣内一真氏とRADWIMPSの化学反応にも注目。
