2019年の『boys』以来、2年10ヶ月ぶり5作目のフルアルバム。かつてなかった程じっくりと時間をかけて練り上げた楽曲たち。新たなエンジニアも迎え挑んだ、My Hair is Bad史上最大の意欲作にして自信作。要するにとってもとっても"今の先"に行こうとした挑戦が詰まった、大傑作アルバム。昨年11月から行われた「フラッシュホームランツアー」で演奏されていた「カモフラージュ」や「歓声をさがして」を含む11の新曲と、2020年12月にリリースした「味方」、「白春夢」を併せた全13曲を収録。新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大により、完売していたさいたまスーパーアリーナ2日間公演は二度もの延期を余儀なくされるなど、連日のライブを主戦場としていたバンドの日常を直撃。そんなコロナ禍の只中に書かれた新曲群は、より一曲一曲の存在感と色合いが増すことで、とてもカラフルな作品となった。
