It contains 13 songs in total, including "Seimei no Aria", which is the intro theme song for the TV anime "MARS RED," and "The Beast," which is the intro theme song for the second season of the Netflix anime "Hanma Baki." As a bonus track, it includes "Meisaku Journey" which is the theme song of "Aware! Meisaku-kun." The Limited Edition "vs" comes with a mini-towel, an acrylic key holder, and two stickers featuring the logo of Hanma Baki. (One sticker doesn't have the logo of Hanma Baki.)

今作のテーマは"戦い"。タイトルの『I vs I』には、音楽と向き合う自分自身との戦い、ライバルや自分たちを取り巻く環境との戦い、そして、和楽器バンドのメンバーデビュー以来9年間、自分たちの音を世界へ届ける為に戦ってきたという真っ直ぐな思いが込められている。収録楽曲には、和楽器バンドの代表曲となっているフジテレビ系月9ドラマ「イチケイのカラス」主題歌「Starlight」、TVアニメ「MARS RED」オープニングテーマ曲「生命のアリア」などの既発曲から、先日全世界配信が発表されたNetflixアニメ「範馬刃牙」2期OPテーマ「The Beast」などタイアップ楽曲満載の全13曲収録のオリジナルアルバムとなっている。ボーナストラックとして、NHK Eテレで放送されていたアニメ「あはれ! 名作くん」主題歌「名作ジャーニー」、すとぷりへの提供楽曲として話題となった「星の如く」のセルフカバーも収録。[初回限定『vs』盤]には、範馬刃牙コラボロゴを使用したミニタオル、アクリルキーホルダー、ステッカー2種 (範馬刃牙コラボロゴは1種)付き。
