Toume Kei Artbook: Kyusha GIRLS

本書は模型専門誌「月刊モデルグラフィックス」(大日本絵画刊)2016年3月号から連載が開始され、現在(2025年11月)も連載中の「旧車GIRLS」掲載作品から、作者自身が50点を選出、収録した画集です。作画の車種の選出にあたっては模型専門誌のため、その車のキット(主としてプラモデル)が実在するモノという、“しばり”を設けています。基本的な作画プロセスは、作者自身が所有するプラモデルを組み立てた後、その完成品を参考に描いています。そのため実車と異なっている部分も存在します。しかし、模型を尊重し、あえて修正は施しておりません。また、キャラクター(人物)に関しては、その車の活躍した年代やイメージを基に、オリジナルキャラクターを考案しています。なお、本書収録にあたり連載時の作品に加筆修正などが施されています。(Prefaceより抜粋、再構成)
