Well, to be honest, I had never heard any of the tracks on this album. The first time I heard Kinya, he was singing on the Gravitation albums, and I immediately loved his voice. When I saw that he was realeasing an album, I was curious and decided to order it since I couldn't find any of his other previous albums. Anyway, I finally received the CD and it has been in my car ever since. It's a great investment, and I'm anxious for him to release another one!.. Hopefully it won't take five years for it!

If your only previous experience of Kinya is his work under the pseudonym 'Kotani Kinya' (famous for works in the anime 'Gravitation) this album may come as a bit of a shock. Kinya has grown up considerably in his newest release; and his work is possibly better than ever before as a result. Mikazuki is a collection of well-written, melodic pop songs. From the singles, already famous from Tsubasa Chronicle, to the solemn and beautiful title-track - written by the vocalist himself. Every song is on top form, his vocals have never been better, and the range of styles is amazing. This is an INCREDIBLE album - whether for old fans or new.
