This soundtrack is as amazing as the movie; one CD has all the instrumental music, one has music with vocals. The instrumental musics convey the feeling of the movie perfectly; those moments of cyberpunk dystopia, the very grand spectacle of moral choice, the euphoric rush of the hero's entrance ... all well executed. The musics with vocals are no less impressive in their listening, though I do feel that they do not convey the same emotional content (although the tracks 7, 9, and 10 are very good). The music may seem ambivalent to some, but that is also a strength; I use music in tabletop RPGs and the Casshern soundtrack has (and will) fill several niches for tense interactions and when setting scenes for the players. Instrumental track 7, for example, has strong religious sounds in it, with the chorus and the organ. If broken into two parts, the first can easily serve as the song for a small town's church where the last part can easily be the heroes overlooking a difficult road or battle ahead. Wonderful soundtrack ... a buy for anyone.
