Customer Reviews
After an excellent debut effort ("Zekkeishoku"), Alice Nine seem to have really dropped the ball here, sacrificing artistic integrity for money, fame and ladies. Their original EPs were a band getting to grips with the talent they clearly had available to them, and then that big record deal came along. PS Company can't be blamed for 'taming' the band, as they've clearly let Kagrra do whatever they want over the years, not to mention Miyavi's constantly changing styles. We can only blame A9 for selling out. Zekkeishoku rocked the house in all but one way; they weren't a number one band, and with that material they never would be. But that was their original appeal - they were industrial and indie all at once, they weren't following rules except their own. "Alpha" is not a 'bad' album by any means, it can still be listened to, but if you're a fan of the original A9 material it'd be best if you pretended this was a different group all together. "Eraser" and "Jewels" are particunarly fun, and "Cradle to (Alpha)" is a great instrumental piece, but other than that there isn't much to really 'stun' you. Still, it's better than that awful third album.
Very good album! If you're an alice nine. it will good to buy this album!!! All the songs are amazing! My favorite on this album is Eraser and Blue Planet!
