Excellent Album 5

Alpha is a wonderful album to listen to. The limited edition is definetly worth the money too. alice nine really shows their energy and effort in all the songs. So if you need a good visual kei album to listen to, get Alpha.

Alice Nine fails to impress 2

After an excellent debut effort ("Zekkeishoku"), Alice Nine seem to have really dropped the ball here, sacrificing artistic integrity for money, fame and ladies. Their original EPs were a band getting to grips with the talent they clearly had available to them, and then that big record deal came along. PS Company can't be blamed for 'taming' the band, as they've clearly let Kagrra do whatever they want over the years, not to mention Miyavi's constantly changing styles. We can only blame A9 for selling out. Zekkeishoku rocked the house in all but one way; they weren't a number one band, and with that material they never would be. But that was their original appeal - they were industrial and indie all at once, they weren't following rules except their own. "Alpha" is not a 'bad' album by any means, it can still be listened to, but if you're a fan of the original A9 material it'd be best if you pretended this was a different group all together. "Eraser" and "Jewels" are particunarly fun, and "Cradle to (Alpha)" is a great instrumental piece, but other than that there isn't much to really 'stun' you. Still, it's better than that awful third album.

Worth every yen <3 5

From ballads like '9th Revolver' and 'Kousai' to harder songs like 'ZERO' and 'Dice', this album shows how much alice nine. has grown since the release of Zekkeishoku. I can't recommend it enough! The booklet that comes with this Limited Edition is GORGEOUS, and the two PVs ('cosmic world' and 'Blue Planet') are lovely!

Rock on~ 5

I love this album so much. As a matter of fact, all of alice nine.'s music is great and uplifting, and I strongly recommend them. They've got all from very happy tunes to their more heavier side, and they really have a unique style. I don't regret at all buying alice nine.'s music and they never ever fail to put a smile upon my face. It's not only about the music, it's about themselves as persons too and that really reflects their feelings into their music. They are so passionate. The PVs on the DVD are also a big plus, as usual. Especially Blue Planet, it's a weird video but yet they seem so happy. And the package and the booklet, was great also. So in conclusion, a big plus for it all in its entirety, really recommended. The five of them make the most wonderful music ever. Rock on alice nine.!

A good effort 3

This is a pretty good effort and reflects alice nine.'s new sound. However, I would recommend listening to their older albums first if you've never heard alice nine. before and love j-rock. If you're more of a pop person however, this album might just work for you!

Getting better 4

As compared to their previous album, Alpha is a much stronger album. However it could have done better with stronger side-tracks though this time round the side-tracks are alot better. The instrumental at the end also sounded great. Overall, it can be seen that alice nine is getting better with their music. Hopefully they don't just stagnate at this point...

Fantastic Play by Alice ine 5

I'm an old fan of Visual Rock to the times of X-Japan, Luna Sea and Dir En Grey. Faded out for a couple of years until recently. Although unlike the usual heavy visual rock of olden times, Alice Nine brings about a new air of rock-pop visual rock that's peppy, energetic and creative. And their music's layering shows that they have the potential to go deeper with their music! A MUST-BUY!

alice nine. is my favorite band... 4

...so of course I pre-ordered the limited edition of their second full-length album first thing, and I waited for it in breathless anticipation. Well, anyone who is an alice nine. fan has noticed that the direction their music is going is shifting more towards pop-rock. I guess this is for the best due to tora's condition. Aside from "cosmic world" which makes me despair like no other, and once you get over expecting the album to sound like "Zekkeishoku", it's a decent album. The best new tracks are "-Dice-" (good, hard alice nine. with shou engrish), "Zero" (it gives me hope), and "9th Revolver" (beautiful, slow song showcasing shou's vocals). If you purchase this album, the photo booklet photos are very beautiful and the packaging is lovely. ~<3christine
