「左手のピアニスト」として大反響を呼んだ舘野泉の待望の第2作!! 吉松隆のリリックな音世界がSACDマルチチャンネルで響き渡る!! 3,000回を超える演奏会、100枚を超える録音を誇るベテラン・ピアニスト舘野泉。2002年1月に演奏中に脳溢血で倒れたが、リハビリを経て2004年から左手だけで演奏を再開。その活動は大きな反響を呼び、新聞・雑誌に加え、NHKとTBSで特番が制作・放送された。本作は第1作「風のしるし」に続く第2作で、舘野泉の長年の盟友であるノルドグレンおよび吉松隆が彼の為に書き下ろした新作に加え、舘野泉が発掘したタカーチュとモンポウの作品を収録。この作品の美しさは(演奏の難しさも)並外れており、作品中の1曲「水のパヴァーヌ」が「NEWS23」金曜深夜便のエンディングで演奏されると、その静謐で抒情的な美しさが反響を呼んだ。特にSACD5.0chで聴く美しさは格別の世界。
