Description

Comes with a bonus DVD. Plot: Set in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Takako works at an incorporated non-profit organization to engage in reconstruction assistance in Ache. One day, a man, who seems like Japanese, is found on the coast. He receives a diagnosis of amnesia. Takako names him Rau (means Ocean) and tries making identity confirmations of the man. Soon, miraculous things start occurring around him...

深田晃司監督×ディーン・フジオカ主演 カンヌを沸かせた深田監督が再び世界に放つ、渾身の衝撃作をBlu-ray化。第69回カンヌ国際映画祭「ある視点」部門審査員賞を受賞した『淵に立つ』から2年。深田晃司監督が7年の歳月を費やし、渾身のオリジナル脚本で挑んだ心揺さぶるファンタジー。――日本からアチェに移住し、NPO法人で災害復興の仕事をしながら息子タカシ(太賀)と暮らす貴子(鶴田真由)。タカシの同級生のクリス(アディパティ・ドルケン)、その幼馴染でジャーナリスト志望のイルマ(セカール・サリ)が、貴子の家で取材をしている最中、正体不明の日本人らしき男が発見されたとの連絡が入る。まもなく日本からやって来る親戚のサチコ(阿部純子)の出迎えをタカシに任せ、貴子は男の身元確認に急ぐ。記憶喪失ではないかと診断された男は、結局しばらく貴子が預かることになり、海で発見されたことから、インドネシア語で「海」を意味するラウと名付けられる。ほかには確かな手掛かりもなく、貴子とイルマはじめ、タカシやクリス、サチコも、ラウの身元捜しに奔走することになる。片言の日本語やインドネシア語は話せるようだが、いつもただ静かに微笑んでいるだけのラウ。その周りでは少しずつ不可思議な現象が起こり始めていた・・・。特典DVD付き。
