後にキャンド・ヒートやジョン・メイオールのバンドでも活躍。ミック・テイラーの後任候補としてローリング・ストーンズへの加入を噂され、アルバム『ブラック・アンド・ブルー』にも客演した個性派ギタリスト、ハーヴェイ・マンデル。そのエクスペリメンタルなギター・ワークの魅力を探る!本作は、脱退したヘンリー・ヴェスタインの後釜としてキャンド・ヒートに加入、ウッドストックへの出演などを経て発表した3作目のソロ・アルバム (1969年リリース)。前2作よりもロック色を強めた作品で、キャンド・ヒートのラリー・テイラーが全面参加。本作発表後、キャンド・ヒートを脱退しジョン・メイオールと合流。ジョン・メイオールのバック・メンバーとして来日を果たした。紙ジャケット仕様。解説付。2019年24bitリマスタリング。
