Great album! Very dynamic and powerful , thoroughly enjoyed this with the great SHM-CD sound. You cannot go wrong here , Hemispheres was and still is an amazing album.....Rush at their peak , if you're a fan i would definitely seek this one out. Crank it up and Enjoy!

My comments on a couple of things: I have the 1997 re-master of this album and the truth is I did not notice a profound difference with this new shm-cd. For a while I have been testing this new format on my system and although there is some improvement on the perception of sound, it still lacks a real sonic advantage, that is, sound resolution. I think shm format improves greatly on technical qualities of the recording; less distortion at higher volume, less hiss, warmer sound (though not always). But in essence it still remains a 16 bit 44.1 khz red book cd that leaves out significant sound information that can be perceived on SA-CDs, and I guess, future Blu-Ray Audio. As for presentation, excellent, great artwork and cd cover, well worth the money for the cardboard sleeve. But if your looking for "significant" sonic improvement, then a high-end hi-fi system can bring out the same sound on a regular cd pressing, especially if it has advanced features such as 24/32 bit upsampling and balanced stereo outputs.
In how many different ways can you say that something is freakin' great? Anyway: this is!!! And I only wanted to buy 5 from the Rush catalogue...dxmn...;)
