ダグリ [SHM-CD] / 峰厚介
高円寺のレコード・ショップ Universoundsの尾川雄介氏監修による、ジャズ史に埋もれた世界に誇る珠玉の傑作を再び世に送るプロジェクト、ビクター編が発進。日本のジャズ史に輝く1960年代後半～1970年代前半の名盤を3作初CD化。紙ジャケット仕様、封入物ミニチュア化。――菊地雅章グループで頭角を現した峰厚介が、自身のレギュラー・グループを率いて録音した作品。板橋文夫を含む気鋭のミュージシャンを揃えたグループの演奏は重厚にして躍動感が溢れ、あたかも新たな時代の幕開けを告げるかのような勢いと鮮烈さがある。この時期コルトレーンからの影響を受けていたという峰のプレイには閃きとスケールの大きさがあり、「Thirsty」や「Daguri」など、突き抜けるような旋律を圧倒的な表現力で吹き切っている。ダイナミズム、リリシズム、エキゾチシズムを兼ね備えた、峰の代表作とするに相応しい存在感に満ちた作品である。全曲自身による作曲。1973年録音。
