This is a great replica of the original lp with a new obi strip and replica original vinyl obi. The sound is great. My ears aren't good enough to tell finer differences, but this is not an overloud, compressed mix. Only issue is that this replicates the original lp, with shorter versions of some songs than the original CD. Therefore it is not the most up to date mix used in the 2013 box set as that extended the vinyl to a double album to accommodate the full length songs. I wish CD Japan were more detailed in their product descriptions, so one star lost.

Part of my first order to CDJapan. No problems with the shipment. I was curios about this edition in this new format SHM-CD, owner of the SBM edition published years ago, this new version is even better. Crisp and high dynamic, and in the quietest moments smooth. Played on my refence Hi-Fi system an AIWA XL-8000 a classic still working. Really Impressed.
This is the ultimate sounding Version on CD! I have compared it with the CD-Layer of the MFSL Hybrid SACD and this CD sounds so much better! Truly an audiophile Masterpiece. Who needs SACD as long as we can get excellent sounding CDs like this? Me, not!
