[AOR誕生40周年記念 AOR CITY 1000] 元祖AORといわれるボズ・スキャッグス『シルク・ディグリーズ』発売40周年 ! 今なお人気が高い70～80年代のAOR作品をお求めやすい「千円」で発売 ! シリーズ監修はLight Mellowで知られる金澤寿和氏。大瀧詠一『A LONG VACATION』で知られるイラスト界の巨匠・永井博氏が本シリーズの共通アートワークを提供。 ◇2016年2月に亡くなったEW&Fのリーダー、モーリス・ホワイト(1941年生まれ)。シカゴでジャズ・ドラマーとして音楽活動を開始。LAに拠点を移し、1971年にEW&Fとしてデビューし、様々なジャンルの要素を巧みにミックスした華やかなファンク～ディスコ・サウンドで人気を獲得した。本作はグループ活動を休止していた1985年に発表した唯一のソロ・アルバムで、レコーディングにはジョン・ロビンソン(ds)、ポール・ジャクソンJr.(g)、エイブラハム・ラボリエル(b)、ロビー・ブキャナン(key)他が参加している。CMでも使用されたバラード「アイ・ニード・ユー」、ベン・E・キングの「スタンド・バイ・ミー」のカヴァーがヒット。 ◆期間生産限定盤 (2018年3月31日まで) / AOR誕生40周年記念 / ライナーノーツ / オリジナル発売日: 1985年
