[AOR誕生40周年記念 AOR CITY 1000] 元祖AORといわれるボズ・スキャッグス『シルク・ディグリーズ』発売40周年 ! 今なお人気が高い70～80年代のAOR作品をお求めやすい「千円」で発売 ! シリーズ監修はLight Mellowで知られる金澤寿和氏。大瀧詠一『A LONG VACATION』で知られるイラスト界の巨匠・永井博氏が本シリーズの共通アートワークを提供。 ◇1948年、オハイオ出身。カントリー・ミュージックで育ったが、60年代ロックに目覚め、1970年からミュージカル『ジーザス・クライスト・スーパースター』公演で北米～ヨーロッパ各地を巡った。本作は彼にとって唯一のアルバムで、ラリー・カールトン、ジェイ・グレイドン、スティーヴ・ルカサーと超人気ギタリストが交互に登場。アーニー・ワッツ(sax)、スティーヴ・ガッド(ds)、チャック・レイニー(b)、マイク・ポーカロ(b)、ヴィクター・フェルドマン(vib)、コーラスにドン・ヘンリー、ティモシー・B・シュミットのイーグルス勢など売れっ子ミュージシャンが多く参加している。 ◆期間生産限定盤 (2018年3月31日まで) / AOR誕生40周年記念 / ライナーノーツ / オリジナル発売日: 1978年
