3月28日(土) 午後4時～5時25分に、関西限定で放送されたドラマの待望のDVD化! 中山優馬を中心に結成された新世代アイドルユニット「Hey! Say! 7 WEST w/優馬」が、奈良を舞台に剣道に打ち込む中学生たちを熱演! 大和柳生新陰流の跡目を継ぐ三船優太 (中山優馬)は飛鳥大学付属中学の3年生。名門の剣道部で主将を務め、全国大会で個人優勝を果たし負け知らずの中学生チャンピオンだったが、転校生の志村剛 (重岡大毅)に挑まれた対決に敗北。初めて味わう屈辱にまみれながら学校を去る。数ヶ月後、大和中学に転向した優太は、剣道部への入部を頑なに拒み、主将で幼なじみの稲葉知己 (神山智洋)にすら素っ気ない態度。知己は優太の真意が掴めず、思い悩む。帰宅後、ひとり一心不乱に竹刀を振るう優太。大和柳生新陰流宗主で剣道の師匠でもある祖父の敏郎 (大杉漣)は、優太の剣が憎悪の感情で乱れているのを察し、憎しみからは生まれない「本当の強さ」を説くが・・・。そんな折、剣道の大会で大和中と飛鳥大中が対戦することになった。強豪の飛鳥大中が相手では、大和中に勝ち目はない。知己は一緒に大会に出て欲しいと優太に頼むが、けんもほろろに断られてしまう。大会に向け、ひょんなことから敏郎に特訓を受けることになった大和中の剣道部員たち。そんな中、再び優太に協力を頼んだ知己は「俺がお前から一本でも取れたら一緒に戦う。どうや?」と優太の出場を賭けた剣道対決を挑む・・・。 特典映像ディスクにはメイキング&スポットCM映像を収録。
