Z-5 Eye Shadow / Chikuhodo Z Series

This brush is just really good for one and done eye shadow look. Although it is not pick up colour like goat hair brush, but it is feel so silky.

I didn't use this eyeshadow brush until recently. To my shock, I discovered the handle and the ferrule joint of my particular Z5 purchase (probably old stock from CD Japan since 2015?) CREAKS! OMG! I was appalled that I could feel some mild friction going on between them as I swept the bristles back and forth my eyelids. Perhaps the glue that bound them seem to have dried up after years of keeping it in the warehouse? While it is not shaky to the point of falling apart yet, I feel incredibly annoyed by the slight movement whenever I paddle it across my lids. To prove that I wasn't hearing things or imagining things, I tried jerking it gently. Goodness, I could feel some soft knocking of the bristle bundle base against the inner walls of the ferrule! Totally unacceptable of Japanese craftsmanship! I expected more of Made-in-Japan fudes. Thumbs-down.

This is one of the best brushes possible. All over lid, under eye, soft, it is better than the Bisyodo ones. It is lush thick perfectly shaped and moves perfectly to blend and smooth out. Very soft but feels sturdy. The people who like smoky eyes will like this. The people who like simple one or two shadow looks , will like it. Can use for undereye too.
