【こちらの商品は[Blu-ray Audio]です。CDプレイヤーでは再生できません。映像は収録されておりません。】 2015年の《ラインの黄金》,2016年の《ワルキューレ》に続く香港フィルハーモニーとヤープ・ファン・ズヴェーデンの《ワーグナー: ニーベルングの指環》ツィクルス第3回目。すっかりおなじみとなった演奏会形式によるこの上演は、ツィクルスの中でも最も登場人物の少ない《ジークフリート》の緊密で息詰まるやりとりを的確に伝えています。魔法世界の中で繰り広げられる英雄の成長物語を歌い上げるのは名手サイモン・オニール。それを見守るのは、現代最高のバス・バリトン歌手マティアス・ゲルネ。もちろんズヴェーデン/香港フィルの音色は重厚であり、ワーグナーの求めたであろう響きを的確に紡ぎ出しています。ズヴェーデンは2018年のシーズンからニューヨーク・フィルハーモニックの音楽監督に就任することが決定しています。
