Like David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust" and Lou Reed's "Transformer", "All The Young Dudes" by Mott The Hoople is a quintessential album from the early 1970s "glam" period. If you have these 3 albums, you have simply the best. For Mott The Hoople, "All The Young Dudes" was a blessing to their career, helping to revive what was almost lost. The title track alone, featuring Bowie on saxophone and as Producer, has all the charm of 1970's English Pop-Rock, but at the same time has a special feel to it, thanks to the song writing, the production and Ian Hunter's passionate and raspy voice. This is one of the best album to listen to...again & again!
