2016年6月にアルバム『Audio Fashion』をリリースし(オリコンウィークリーアルバムチャート2位を獲得)、7月より全21公演の全国ツアーを行った赤西仁。9月、国際フォーラムにてツアーファイナルを迎え、その後、上海、マカオでの海外公演も成功させた。大盛況に終わったソールドアウトツアーのアンコール公演として、11月9日、幕張メッセイベントホールにて行われた公演の模様を収録したLIVE DVD & Blu-ray『JIN AKANISHI LIVE TOUR 2016 ～Audio Fashion Special～ in MAKUHARI』が発売!! 本ツアーでは、プロジェクションマッピングを導入し、映像が赤西の脳内を具現化、ステージに次々と先鋭的な世界を映し出す。ライブというより、時に壮大、時に繊細な物語を見せるショーのよう。しかし、最新テクノロジーを凌ぐのが、赤西仁という唯一無二の存在。ボーカリストとして、ダンサーとして、音楽制作者として、演出家として、赤西は、窮屈な世界から飛び出し、想像を超えたものをファンの目の前に見せつける。また、本公演では、2016年9月に結成され、わずか13日間で解散を発表した、山田孝之との話題のユニット"JINTAKA"がスペシャルゲストとしてサプライズ登場、一夜限りの再結成で「Choo Choo SHITAIN」を披露し、会場を大いに沸かせた。その貴重な"JINTAKA"のライブ映像も必見。
