This CD is a MUST HAVE for all Loveless fans! It contains all the background music from the Series, along with the TV Shorts of the opening and closing Theme songs. If you are looking for just the FULL versions of just those 2 songs I would recommend you get this CD instead: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=FCCM-79 There are 17 songs on the CD and only a few I don't listen to all the time. I very much recommend this CD!
Altogether, a really nice soundtrack. There are a few tracks on there that just reach out and grab you (like "Fidelity-SOUBI" and "Hatful of Sorrow"), and there are those that just make you want to cry (like "Michiyuki"). Yuki Kajiura (she wrote the opening/closing themes) can really write some powerful music. She's one of my favorite composers. Anyway, back to the review! This CD is a must buy even if you're not a fan of the show. There's some really good stuff on here! Oh, and if you're interested in the full versions of the OP/ED songs, there's a single album on this site, too, that has them both on there ... along with the karaoke tracks!!
Oddly enough, when I first started watching Loveless, what struck me the most was the music. It blends beautifully with the imagery and story of the show and doesn't let you go. I think it expressed the show's themes and emotions to a T - I absolutely love it. Definately recommended to fans of the show. My only complaint is that the opening and ending themes are the shortened versions used for the show itself - you have to buy the single to get the full-length versions!
The OST for Loveless is really nice to put on and just settle back to. The OP and END themes - Tsuki no Curse and Michiyuki are two beautifully crafted songs that stick in your head for hours after. I bought this as a gift for someone - and they're still listening to it regularly six months on!
