Description
DVD release of "Sway (Yureru)," the film officially shown at Festival International du Film de Cannes. Stars Joe Odagiri and directed by Miwa Nishikawa. The story is about the relationship between two brothers facing the accidental death of their common childhood friend. One day, Takeru, comes back home from Tokyo, where he has become a successful photographer, and goes hiking to a quiet ravine together with his older brother Minoru. A childhood friend Chieko comes along. However, Chieko suddenly fallns into the stream at the bottom of the ravine, after she confesses her wish to move to Tokyo with Takeru, when Minoru wasn't around. Is it just an accident? Or has Chieko been murdered? As the trial proceeds, and Takeru witnesses his brother's hidden personality as it is gradually uncovered.
