I bought this cd solely on Regan's review and as usual he is right on the money. It's a shame Rod doesn't rock out like this anymore, he is more of a crooner these days. I wonder if Rod himself has heard these SHM-cds (or any other artists with SHM-cd re-releases for that matter) because they must think to themselves finally the music can be heard the way the artist intended it to be!

The orginal CD of this album was terrible. It was mastered way too quiet and it was very muddy sounding. Now , it has not only been NEWLY re-mastered to a proper volume but it also has the clearity of sound that comes from a SHM-CD!!! You will hear every note and all of the vocals are in perfect balance with all of the instruments. I am not a big ROD STEWART fan but this live / greatest hits CD has all of his best solo stuff up to , 1982. ROD , and his crack band put on a great show. It finally sounds amazing , too!!!
