This version of "Led Zeppelin IV" uses a replica of the original E-style jacket and Red-Maroon label (not the green-orange design of the regular edition Atlantic presses of the time). Audio comes from the 1994 digital remasters. Part of a ten-album Led Zeppelin cardboard sleeve reissue series featuring the albums "Led Zeppelin," "Led Zeppelin II," "Led Zeppelin III," "Led Zeppelin IV," "Houses Of The Holy," "Physical Graffiti," "Presence ," "The Song Remains The Same," "In Through The Out Door," and "Coda."

FOR THOSE THAT TOOK OTHER ADVISE OF THIS SHM-CD. HOW WELL IT SOUNDS. THE FIRST PART OF THE CD FROM ALBUM POINT OF VIEW FROM BLACK DOG TO STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN SOUNDED BETTER. BUT FROM MISTY MOUNTAIN TOP TO WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS SOUNDED MUDDY WITH NO IMPROVEMENT THAN THE 94 REMASTER. I HEARD SAMPLES FROM DEEP PURPLE-MACHINE HEAD COMEING OUT ON STEVE HOFFMAN DISC SERIES. COMPARED TO RHINO'S RELEASE IT TOOK THE MUDDY SOUND OUT. THIS LED COULD HAVE BEEN DONE THE SAME WAY. WITH THE LAST 4 SONGS RESTORED TO GLORY.
These , LED ZEPPELIN SHM-CDs , have used the 2003 [made in , Japan] Paper Sleeve versions for their sound base and then they put that on a SHM-CDISC. So , these sound better than the 2003 versions because , PLANT's voice , is more up front in the mix and the volume for all the songs is the same. This wasn't the case before. With these SHM-CDs you get even more instrument separation than the 2003 versions of the 1994 re-masters. Don't let the 1994 re-master label scare you as these new versions sound far , far , better then their older re-mastered counterparts. Take a chance and try at least 1 of these new , LED ZEP SHM-CDs. You will not be disappointed!!!
