Perfect Strangers Live [w/ 2CD, Limited Edition]

i just got this last week and finally got around to watching this last night and i must say i have no idea why it took about 29 years to release this amazing show from sydney from the start of the now legendary perfect strangers tour in december 1984, watching this dvd brought back so many great memories and gillans voice was so spot on that night, this was back in the day when gillan still had those amazing screams and high pitches, the setlist for this show could not have been better, if there is anything to complain about it is the very beggining of the concert when they are speaking with gillan, lord,paice and glover and then the interview ( wich is in the bonus tour documentry feature) just goes right into the concert itself. it would have been nice to watch the intro and see the band hit the stage but this is a small complaint, the concert is the best thing about this dvd set, the bonus tour documenty i pretty much saw on mtv way way back then and it has also for years been all over bootlegs, of coarse another awesome part of this set is the 2 audio cds that come with this so when you want to hear this amazing show YOU CAN THROW THE DISC OF YOUR CHOICE INTO YOUR CD TRAY, you do not have to watch the dvd. it would be amazing if there was footage like this from the early 70s to release a dvd set but i dont think much of it exists with the exception of what we all already have on dvd and vhs by the original mark 2 line up, anyway once again i fail to understand what took 29 years for this to come out, in the future we may get the june 1985 knebworth uk show as that was pro shot like this one was but the rain at that gig may have killed the prospects of a full on release of that gig, anyway this is a must for any deep purple fan, great release!!!!!
