Madobe no Neko E.P. [Limited Edition]

This time, she returns to her roots with a new album called "Neko". This EP is an EP that is conscious of creating works related to "cats," a work that goes back to its roots. It contains a total of five songs, including "Windowside Cat," a collaboration with Tsuji Ayano that sings about a precious memory that everyone has experienced, and "Cool Color," a commercial tie-in for Okinawa. The initial limited edition includes a 7-inch special package with a pop-up POP featuring "The Cat by the Window". The illustration is newly drawn by Naoko Machida, a cat-loving picture book artist who was in charge of drawing "Namae no na inoko," which won three 2019 Picture Book Award crowns.

前作「ねっこほって e.p.」で子供むけアニメ番組のEDテーマを描き下ろし、2020年6月からはキッズステーション「うたのじかんライブ」(毎週土曜11:10～11:15)にてレギュラー出演し、着々と全年齢対象アーティストとしてそのポップな見た目と音楽で認知を拡大させているむぎ(猫)。今作は、原点回帰した「猫」にまつわる作品作りを意識した作品作りを意識したEP作品で、つじあやのとのコラボ楽曲であり、誰しも経験のある大切な思い出を歌った「窓辺の猫」や沖縄のCMタイアップである「かっこいいCOLOR」を含む、計5曲を収録。初回限定盤は、「窓辺の猫」をモチーフにした7inchサイズの飛び出すPOP付特殊パッケージ仕様。イラストは、2019年絵本アワード3冠を達成した「なまえのないのこ」の作画を担当した愛猫家の絵本作家、町田尚子による描き下ろし。
