GET IT! This album is breathtaking. I go to sleep with it playing in the background. My brother has even substituted some of the BGMs in Ragnarok Online with tracks from this CD! =P It's that good and that memorable. Kajiura Yuki made .hack//SIGN magical and I urge people to get this CD.. and .hack//SIGN Original Sound & Songtrack 2 as well. You won't regret it. =)

In the first English release of the anime, there was this strange feature which enabled you to view the episodes with all speech and sound effects off, and only the musical score audible. This feature puzzled me greatly - until I went ahead actually tried it. I had already thought that the music was great, but then I realised how utterly gorgeous it was. I became an instant Yuki Kajiura fan. I got myself the OST album in short order, and it is still one of the Anime OST's that I listen to the most often.
