トーラスレコードが1993年にシリーズものとしてリリースしていたものの第1弾と第2弾の23年ぶりの再発作品。言うまでもなく、テレサ・テンは日本において大スターであるが、それ以前にアジア一帯、また中国圏でも大スターなのである。この作品は当時トーラスレコードが、中国圏でのテレサの全活動を日本に紹介するする大いなる意義を持つシリーズ作品で、当時は、時代の新しい香港ポリドールからもっとも初期の台湾・宇宙レコードへとさかのぼる形でリリースされた。今回はその最初の2枚 (香港ポリドール原盤)をまずは再発する企画。
